18+ Years in Branding & Marketing

A portrait made with understanding

Before becoming a photographer, Sha’an spent nearly two decades helping brands shape how they were perceived, positioned, and remembered. Her career spanned luxury, FMCG, lifestyle, and home and living industries, where she led teams, developed strategy, and built brands at senior leadership levels.

That experience continues to shape the way she works today. She sees clients through both a photographer's and a brand marketer's lens, considering not only how they look, but also how they are perceived, how they want to be seen, and what their image needs to communicate.

When photographing a client, she is not only thinking about light, composition, and expression. She is also thinking about personal brand, audience perception, and the story that the portrait is helping to tell.

Sha’an has a rare ability to see beyond who you think you are and showed me a side of myself I didn’t know existed…

A portrait session is not just about the photograph. More often, it marks a moment in someone's life. A new role, a new business, a significant milestone, or a chapter worth remembering.

My training as a life coach taught me how to listen actively, ask thoughtful questions and create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves.

Those skills influence every portrait I create. Because when people feel understood, it often shows in the photograph.
