PHOTOGRAPHER • LIFE COACH
Sha’an Ng
For almost two decades, I built my career in branding and marketing. I worked across luxury, FMCG, lifestyle, and home and living sectors, leading teams and shaping strategy in environments where expectations were high and outcomes mattered. The work stretched me. It taught me how stories influence perception, how trust is built over time, and how clarity creates impact.
From the outside, it looked like success. In many ways and by conventional measures, it was. But deep down, I sensed that something more personal was calling for attention. That awareness slowly changed the direction of my life.
While I was a marketer at work, I am an artist at heart. I often longed for a creative outlet. Photography is where everything converged and made sense to me. It allowed me to slow down, to observe more closely, and to pay attention to the subtleties that make each person unique. I am drawn not just to how someone looks, but to the character beneath that surface. The confidence, the doubts, the struggles, the complexity.
Over time, this work deepened. I approached it with the same discipline I had built in my corporate years, but with a different intention. Not just to create beautiful images, but to create portraits that feel real and personal. Alongside photography, I am also a practicing Life Coach, supporting individuals who are navigating change and seeking clarity in their next chapter.
Today, my work feels aligned with who I am and I live life on my own terms. For this, I am immensely grateful.
